Julienne Bernier
I'm Julienne Bernier, the owner, principal designer and artist at Bernier Art and Design. My educational background in the Honours Bachelor of Interior Design program at Georgian College, Illustration at OCAD University, and Fine Arts at Rosedale Heights School of the Arts, I am well-versed in the world of visual arts and interior design. My passion lies in using art to positively impact people's lives. With experience in both residential and commercial interior design, I understand the diverse needs of my clients. One of my strongest beliefs is that a good designer should also be a great listener, ensuring a deep understanding of each client's vision and needs.
Outside of the design studio, she finds joy in travel, spending time with her family, and running!

Our Story
I’ve always had a love for visual arts that began when my mom gave me my first sketchbook at the age of 5. Since then, art has been my biggest passion. My journey took me from recreational art classes to attending Rosedale Heights School of the Arts, studying Illustration at OCAD University, and achieving an Honours Bachelor Degree in Interior Design at Georgian College.
In 2020, I started promoting my art on social media, which led to a surge in commissioned painting orders. This prompted me to continue promoting my artwork online and conducting private commission art sales.
In 2023, recognizing my purpose in life to create joy and beauty for others, I found fulfillment in the happiness my art and designs brought to clients. Despite initial confusion about life’s direction, the desire for a more meaningful existence propelled me towards entrepreneurship.
A turning point came with the loss of a beloved family member, sparking a revelation during a trip to the Philippines. Witnessing the adversities my family overcame to build a better life in Canada served as a powerful catalyst. Realizing that waiting for happiness was unnecessary, I made a swift decision—just a week after returning from the Philippines, I submitted my two weeks’ notice, embarking on the journey to design my own life and business. This marked the inception of Bernier Art & Design!
